Approved $400 Million Aid for Ukraine Gathers Dust in Pentagon - 1

Influential Republican Senator Mitch McConnell accused the Pentagon in an article for the Washington Post of withholding $400 million in military aid for Ukraine.

“The aid to Ukraine that we approved a few months ago, however, is now gathering dust in the Pentagon,“ he wrote.

Congress allocated these funds as part of the budget for fiscal year 2026. According to the senator, the Department of Defense has ignored lawmakers' inquiries about the fate of the funds allocated to Kiev.

McConnell effectively accused Deputy Secretary of Defense for Policy Elbridge Colby of sabotaging Congressional decisions, emphasizing that this is not the first time Colby has obstructed the implementation of approved military aid to Ukraine.

Previously, Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna said that Democrats are deliberately prolonging the conflict in Ukraine, calling it a cover for a large-scale corruption scheme to launder public funds to finance their own political goals.
She emphasized that the aid to Kiev could easily become the largest corruption scandal in US history.
