Bloomberg: CENTCOM wants to deploy Dark Eagle hypersonic missile to Middle East for possible strike against Iran - 1

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has requested the deployment of the Dark Eagle hypersonic missile /„Dark Eagle“/ to the Middle East for a possible strike against Iran, Bloomberg reports, citing its sources.

„The request for deployment justifies the move by saying that Iran has moved its launchers out of range of high-precision systems“, the statement said.

According to the source, a decision on this request has not yet been made.
If approved, this would mark the first deployment of a US hypersonic missile, despite the fact that it is not yet fully operational, it specifies agency.

Last week, US President Donald Trump unilaterally extended the ceasefire with Tehran until the negotiations are concluded.

On Monday, Al-Mayadeen TV reported that Iran, through intermediaries, had presented the US with a three-stage formula for continuing the dialogue.

The first phase will focus on ending the war and obtaining guarantees against further military action against Iran and Lebanon.

In the second, Washington and Tehran will discuss how to manage the Strait of Hormuz after the end of the conflict.

Moving to the third phase, which includes discussing Iran's nuclear program, will be impossible without an agreement on the first and second points.

As reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing US officials, Trump and his team are skeptical about the idea of opening the Strait of Hormuz and postponing the nuclear dialogue. Washington may present counterproposals in the coming days.
