Ukrainian drones hit Ozon logistics hub in Chapaevsk - 1

On the night of August 22, 2026, the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out the first-ever successful air strike against the huge logistics hub of the Russian marketplace Ozon in the city of Chapaevsk, Samara region. A large-scale fire broke out on the territory of the strategic facility, and according to local sources and videos distributed on social networks, huge columns of smoke and fire are rising.

The "drone danger" regime in the Samara region was declared at around 02:52 local time, after which the first powerful explosions echoed in the area. OSINT analysts report that in parallel with the strike on the warehouse in Chapaevsk, there was also an attack on the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery.

The Ozon logistics complex in Chapaevsk has a total area of over 135 thousand square meters and is a key hub for the distribution of goods in the region, with investments in it amounting to over 5 billion rubles. Strikes on such logistics centers are part of Ukraine's systematic strategy to disrupt the supply of dual-use goods, drone components and communication equipment, which the Russian army purchases en masse through online platforms for the needs of the front. A few days ago, similar strikes were also carried out on the logistics bases of the competing marketplace Wildberries. At the moment, there is no official data from the Russian side on the scale of the damage or possible casualties.
