US President Donald Trump's special envoy for Syria and Iraq, Ambassador Tom Barak, issued a sharp warning to Israel over the recent airstrike on the “Abu al-Duhur“ airbase in Syria, located near the Turkish border. In an interview with Mario Nawfal's popular podcast on the social network X, Barak described the military actions taken as a “dangerous game“ that threatened the region with a direct clash between Israel and Turkey. According to the American representative, Turkish air defenses detected the Israeli fighter jets and were fully prepared to retaliate, since Ankara was not warned in advance about the operation.
