DeepState: Russia captures Pervomaisk and begins razing Chasov Yar to the ground - 1

The Russian occupiers began to raze Chasov Yar to the ground. This was stated by Roman Pohorili, co-founder and analyst of the DeepState project, which collects and analyzes information from open sources.

According to DeepState data, the Russians also captured the village of Pervomayske in the Donetsk region. The fighting for it began in August 2022, and this village became one of the hottest points on the front. The Russians have given many casualties, but the same applies to the Ukrainian forces.

In an interview for “Espresso“ Pohorili said the Russians were increasing the intensity of their shelling of the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk region. The enemy has already started razing the city to the ground using a large number of airstrikes, he pointed out.

„The Russians are trying to approach from all sides, to sneak in with infantry and equipment, they work with drones and destroy everything around with airplanes, but the Ukrainian forces are resisting and we have to help our defenders,” said Pohorili .

It is believed that Chasov Yar is the “door“ for the conquest of Donbass. If the Russians capture Chasov Yar, the door will be open to other cities. After a year of relative stability on the frontline, Russian forces are making progress against the Ukrainian army, which is struggling to replenish its ranks and suffering from ammunition shortages due to a delay in Western aid.

Yesterday there was even information that the Russian army had already entered Chasov Yar, but this was refuted by the Ukrainian forces. According to the ZSU, the enemy's tactics are unchanged - a large number of infantry and assault operations. Assault groups are loaded into infantry fighting vehicles and attack with both artillery and air support.

Russia hopes to take over the city, as it did with Avdeevka – taking advantage of the lack of sufficient ammunition and weapons in the ZSU. Moreover, the occupiers do not care about the number of casualties they give. Vladimir Putin has an unlimited amount of cannon fodder that he uses to achieve his goals.
