A passenger stopped a train in Germany and "miraculously" was only slightly injured, the federal police reported, DPA reported, BTA reported.
The 22-year-old suffered only a scratch and his trousers were torn after the accident on the Dresden-bound train at Magdeburg's central station. The train left on Monday night with the man's luggage, but he was still on the platform at the time.
It is reported that he ran after the train and after reaching the locomotive, he grabbed the handles of the driver's cab and was dragged about 15-20 meters. The train driver noticed the screaming 22-year-old man and activated the emergency brake.
The man got between the train and the edge of the platform and was injured. Medics from the emergency service confirmed that there was no need for emergency medical treatment. The alcohol sample showed a zero level in the victim's blood. Federal police are investigating the crime of dangerous interference with rail traffic. There were 170 passengers on the train.
