Kremlin says: We will continue our own relationship with Beijing, Washington's opinion does not worry us - 1

Kremlin announced in the context of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken's concern about China's military support for Russia that it will continue to develop its own relationship with Beijing, Reuters reported, citing a statement from the press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin – Dmitry Peskov. Blinken was on a visit to China from Wednesday to Friday, writes BTA.

"China is a sovereign country, a strong country that is capable of defending itself and defending its interests," Peskov told media representatives when asked about Blinken's visit to China and American pressure on Beijing.

"At the same time, China is our close partner. We will continue our cooperation in the future," the Kremlin spokesman added.

Peskov said Russia would look for ways to overcome what it called "illegal sanctions by the European Union" on Russian liquefied natural gas.

"Attempts to push Russia out of energy markets and move to more expensive markets continue. Of course, in all cases we will look for ways to overcome these illegal obstacles, this unfair competition and unfounded actions," he said.
