Ukrainian armed forces may try to carry out a combined attack with US ATACMS missiles, fighter jets F -16 and sea drones in early May. This is what the military expert and head of the Center for the Study of Political and Military Conflicts Andrey Klintsevich told mk.ru.
According to him, the main target will be the Crimean bridge connecting Russia with the occupied Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea. It should be noted that Ukraine has not yet received F-16 fighters.
„There is a suspicion that the USA and Great Britain are preparing a provocation in Crimea. The flights of reconnaissance planes, which lately literally do not leave the airspace near the peninsula, have become more frequent. Possible targets: the Black Sea Fleet, the Crimean bridge and the peninsula itself, Klintsevich said.
Earlier, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, promised to destroy the Crimean bridge in the near future. Russia believes that Ukraine may attack the bridge early this month, including before Victory Day.
Klintsevich pointed out that the American ATACMS missiles are extremely accurate, and their range is nearly 300 km. Ukraine has attacked the Crimean bridge several times so far, inflicting heavy damage, but has not yet been able to destroy it.
