The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that Russian forces struck the headquarters of the southern command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (FSU) in the port of Odessa, where earlier, as reported by Kiev, three people were killed in a missile strike, Reuters reported, BTA reported.
„The headquarters of the operational command of the Southern Group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was overwhelmed by operational and tactical aviation, missile forces and artillery,”, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced. It did not provide further details about the strike, but said Russian forces were improving their positions along the entire front line.
Ukraine's prosecutor's office said residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged in last night's strike in Odessa, while the Southern Military Command said residential and administrative buildings, as well as medical and educational institutions, were hit. Reuters reports that it has not been able to independently verify both sides' claims.
