As a result of the Russian attacks, Ukraine has lost over 9 gigawatts of energy capacity. At the same time, the Ukrainian government has a strategy to strengthen the Ukrainian energy system against enemy attacks, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said today, quoted by the Ukrinform agency, BTA writes.
"Our main priority today is to strengthen our energy sector after the latest Russian terrorist attacks. The situation is extremely complicated. More than 9 gigawatts of energy capacity were lost. The enemy continues to attack energy facilities," Shmigal said in "Telegram".
In his words, the state energy company "Ukrenergo" must re-enter the current mode for consumers. Such a measure gives additional time to restore and strengthen the energy network.
According to the Ukrainian Prime Minister, the Ukrainian government has a strategy that includes five main goals, such as strengthening Ukraine's air defense, restoring damaged equipment and building stronger defense against drones, ensuring the decentralization of the energy system, international support and cooperation , energy efficiency and responsible consumption of electricity.
"Our goal is to provide savings at all levels: from large enterprises to individual households," added Schmigal.
