The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that last week units of the Southern Group of Russian troops took control of the town of Paraskovievka in the eastern Ukrainian Donetsk region and have improved their position on the front line, AFP reported, BTA reported.

AFP recalled that in the past few weeks, the Russian army has reported that it has taken control of several areas in Donetsk and in the northern Kharkiv region, where an offensive began on May 10.
