The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine reports that for the first time they managed to shoot down a SU-57 multipurpose fighter.
Intelligence refers to satellite images of planes parked on the territory of the airport "Akhtubinsk" in the Astrakhan Region of the Russian Federation. The airport is located 589 kilometers from the line of combat contact.
The blow was delivered yesterday, June 8, 2024
Intelligence noted that on June 7, photos showed the Su-57 standing intact in its parking lot, and on June 8, images near it showed explosion craters and distinctive fire damage spots.
The Su-57 is Moscow's most advanced fighter, which can use Kh-59 and Kh-69 missiles to strike.
The Russian Aerospace Forces have only a few of these combat aircraft in service.
