Pentagon on Sevastopol shelling with civilian casualties: We know, but we have nothing to say - 1

The Pentagon is familiar with reports of shelling of Sevastopol with American ATACMS missiles, but has nothing to say on this matter, a representative of the US Department of Defense told RIA Novosti.

„We have seen these messages and have nothing to say,” he said in a written response to the agency's request.
The attack took place on Sunday at 12:15 Moscow time.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to strike Sevastopol with five US-supplied ATACMS missiles with cluster warheads.

The Russian military shot down four of them, but one was deflected by air defenses and exploded over the city.
According to the latest data, four people, including two children, died as a result of the terrorist attack. Another 151 people were injured, of which 82 were hospitalized - 55 adults and 27 children.

U.S. House of Representatives member Marjorie Taylor-Green (R-Georgia) emphasized that there should be no attacks like the one carried out Sunday by ATACMS missiles against civilians in Sevastopol. p>

„This should not happen. Imagine if Russia with its satellite used cluster munitions to hit a beach in Florida. The only border the US military has to protect is our own border, and the Constitution requires the federal government to protect the states,” she wrote on the social network X, commenting on the announcement of the incident.
