Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant announced progress in talks with American officials regarding the military aid to Israel after the Washington meetings. He pointed to the successful overcoming of various challenges, which opens the way for strengthening military cooperation, including an increase in the supply of forces and ammunition to the country, reports BTA.
"During these meetings, we made significant progress, obstacles and difficulties were removed to move forward on a number of issues, especially on the issue of the increase in forces and the supply of ammunition to Israel,'' Gallant emphasized, quoted by BTA .
Gallant expressed his gratitude to the American government and people for their unwavering support.

His meetings included discussions with Jake Sullivan, national security adviser to President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
The White House confirmed those meetings, and Sullivan testified to President Biden's commitment to maintaining Israel's defense capabilities, particularly against threats from Iran-backed groups.
Despite the problem of delayed bomb delivery, the overall trajectory of US-Israeli defense relations appears positive, marking significant progress in their long-standing alliance.
