Saudi Arabia has urged its citizens to leave Lebanon amid growing fears of a possible war between Israel and the Iran-backed Lebanese Shiite "Hezbollah" movement, DPA reported, BTA reported.
The Saudi embassy in Beirut appealed to all subjects of the monarchy who are in Lebanese territory to leave the country "immediately". The diplomatic mission also urged Saudis to refrain from traveling to Lebanon.
Several Arab and Western countries have in recent days advised their citizens not to visit Lebanon due to fears of military escalation.
