US President Joe Biden and the heads of the defense and security agencies of The US conducts daily coordination of actions in Ukraine and sees no need to strike deep into Russia with US long-range weapons.
Biden said this at a press conference in Washington, holosameryky.com reports. Asked if he would allow Ukraine to use long-range US weapons to strike military targets deep inside the Russian Federation, Biden said the US military saw no point in doing so.
"We allowed Zelensky to use American weapons in the near border regions of Russia. Does it make sense for Ukraine to attack the Kremlin (if it decides) No?", answered the American president. He pointed out that he receives the reports and advice of the US military and intelligence services on a daily basis, and it is on their assessments that he bases his decisions.
During his speech at the "Ronald Reagan" in Washington, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the US permission to strike military targets on Russian territory with the help of American weapons has helped Ukraine stop the Russian offensive against Kharkiv.
And now the Ukrainian Defense Forces need further lifting of restrictions to protect other Ukrainian cities. According to him, this will give an “immediate result”, therefore Kiev expects such a decision from the Western allies.
