Lithuanian state energy company "Ignitis group" (Ignitis Group) will dismantle and donate the equipment of an out-of-use power plant to Ukraine, Reuters reported, as quoted by BTA.
The donation is part of a package worth 50 million euros, under which four state-owned Lithuanian energy companies make donations for the benefit of Ukraine, the energy ministry announced.
The Soviet-era TPP-Vilnius, which has a capacity of 360 megawatts for electricity production and 603 megawatts for heat production, has not been used for nine years, but its equipment is in working order, according to "Ignitis" .
