In the Turkish city of Bodrum the Russian citizen Yevgeny Serebryakov, who is supposed to have carried out a car bomb attack in Moscow, has been detained, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on the "X" social network, BTA reports.
„Today at 10:30 a.m. representatives of the Russian division of Interpol called our Interpol/Europol division headquarters and reported that a man named Yevgeny Serebryakov, a Russian citizen, had committed a terrorist attack with a car bomb in Moscow, two people were injured as a result of the terrorist attack, and the person arrived in our country on a Moscow flight – Bodrum,” Yerlikaya states in his post.
The minister specified that Serebryakov was detained by police units of the Mugla district in Bodrum.
According to the head of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of an investigation, it was established that Serebryakov arrived in Bodrum at 09:40, but was not recognized immediately, as he was not listed in the international database of Interpol for wanted persons. After receiving information about the wanted person from the Russian colleagues, Serebryakov was detained by the Turkish special services.
A car bomb explosion today wounded an officer of the Russian military intelligence in the northern part of Moscow, Reuters reported, citing Kommersant. The Russian Interior Ministry said two people were injured in an explosion caused by the detonation of an unidentified device and added that a criminal investigation had been launched.
