For the second night in a row, residents of Tulcea County in south-eastern Romania received warnings through the Ro-Alert system after several drones were spotted flying are approaching the border, Digi 24 TV broadcasts. The warning was issued around 1:20 a.m.

People were warned that objects could fall from the air. Such a warning is sent when Russia attacks, usually with drones, Ukrainian ports on the Danube River, Digi 24 said.

“Representatives of the Emergency Situations Inspectorate ask citizens not to panic, to follow the instructions and advice in the Ro-Alert message, and if they do not feel safe or need help and support, to call the single emergency number 112 for help”, the inspectorate said in a press release. From there, they specify that the purpose of the warnings is information and prevention, and that the Russian Federation's attacks are not aimed at Romanian territory.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of National Defense of Romania informed that two F-16 aircraft of the Romanian Air Force took off from the 86th Borca Air Base to monitor the air situation. After a field investigation, no fragments of fallen drones were found on Romanian territory.

According to Ukrainian Air Force Chief Mykola Oleschuk, quoted by Reuters, three Russian drones were "lost after crossing the state border (of Ukraine) with Romania" that night.

Last year, Romania repeatedly announced the discovery of debris from Russian drones on its territory, after attacks on Ukrainian facilities on the opposite bank of the Danube River.
