Kamala Harris' campaign raised $200 million and registered 170 000 new volunteers just a week since she became the Democratic Party's presidential candidate for the upcoming elections in November, Reuters reported.
President Joe Biden announced earlier this month that he is withdrawing from the presidential race and will not seek re-election. He announced his support for his vice president, Kamala Harris, who will face Donald Trump on November 5.
Most polls give Harris and Trump equal chances to win the vote in November.
Former President Donald Trump's campaign raised $331 million in the second quarter of the year, surpassing the $264 million raised by the campaign of Biden and his Democratic allies during the same period.
