The Romanian Ministry of Defense announced today that it has found parts of a drone at a third location near to the border with Ukraine after last week's Russian attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure, Reuters reports, BTA reported.
The ministry said it found parts of a drone near the village of Çatalköy in the southeastern Tulcea district, on the opposite bank of the Danube River from the attacked ports.
During the searches that began last week, pieces of a drone were found in the nearby villages of Plauru and Periprava, the agency recalls.
In a ministry statement cited by Agerpress, it is noted that other areas where there was information in the public space about a possible fall of debris from a drone, such as Nikulitzel and Kilia, were also searched, but they were not found there such items.
The ministry states that all identified fallout zones are outside populated areas and no people or infrastructure have been affected.
The Romanian Ministry reminds that it informed and informed allied structures in a timely manner about the situations that arose as a result of the attacks and remains in constant contact with them.
The institution once again strongly condemns the attacks carried out by the Russian Federation against objects and elements of the Ukrainian civil infrastructure, which are "unjustified and in serious contradiction to the norms of international law".
