Russian media and military bloggers: Sudzha is practically lost

Despite claims by Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov that the Ukrainian invasion of Kursk Oblast has stopped, the border administrative center of Suzha has in fact been lost. This is what the Russian portal PolitNavigator writes.

Against this backdrop, calls for the return of the gene are intensifying. Sergey Surovikin, better known as "General Armageddon" as commander of the front in Ukraine.

And here again I want to draw attention to our TV crews that there is no need to mislead people and present the report of "Izvestia" from the 6th, as if it was filmed on the 7th of August," writes military observer Yuriy Podoliaka.

"Why is this so important? Yes, it misleads Muscovites and the whole country, but it also prevents people on the ground from properly orienting themselves and making the right decisions, including the decision to evacuate. And then PEOPLE DIE because of these lies. Do you think about that when you do that?", asks Podoljaka.

The Telegram channel of the "Ribar" project, founded by the former employee of the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense Mikhail Zvinchuk, speaks quite harshly about the message of "Izvestia", which yesterday was presented as footage allegedly confirming the absence of Ukrainian troops in Suja .

"Why is such a clumsy anti-crisis campaign needed, who invented it and why - we can only guess. "Unfortunately, in reality this only causes irritation," said "Fisherman".

Volunteer and social psychologist Roman Alekhin goes even further and criticizes the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, who said yesterday that the advance deeper into Russian territory has been stopped.

"I thought that all this, even if it was a series of mistakes, would still be corrected quickly. But after Gnshtab's speech, I simply convinced myself that these are no longer mistakes. The words “provocation“, “no penetration deep into the territory of the Russian Federation“, the enemy is stopped. and “regrouping” with “withdrawal of more profitable positions” evoke memories of the series of lies about Kherson and Izyum," says Alekhine.

"This is not any panic and it is not an attempt to create one, because the Russian soldier here will not allow this - he will die, he will go to the tanks with a machine gun and a grenade and will not allow it, but I know what price we pay for “ the mistakes“ to some, including including those who reported to the Supreme. I'm sure the Commander-in-Chief has already received information about the real situation from other sources," says the volunteer.

"Strange, but for some reason “General Armageddon“ comes to mind again and for some reason again in a crisis situation. We need to correct ourselves and bring back the inspiration of the troops, give hope to the people," says Alekhine.

At the same time, Podoliaka admits that the situation in the Kursk region continues to deteriorate.

"So, as expected, Suja is almost lost to us. And this is the most important logistics center. And the enemy tries to use this advantage. And from Suja it goes north, towards Lgov. In the Korenevo area, the enemy temporarily retreated, but not because of defeat, but because he was unable to break through. But he can try again. In general, the situation is complex and continues to deteriorate, despite the fact that the pace of the ASU advance has decreased significantly. But this is a consequence of the fact that so far only the 22nd brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is advancing, and the reserves for “successful development” have not yet entered the fray. Today will also be a difficult day", summarizes Yuri Podoliaka.

"General Armageddon" and his role on the front in Ukraine

After the appointment of Gen. Sergey Surovikin in the fall of 2022 as commander of the Combined Forces Group in Ukraine launched massive attacks against Ukraine's energy infrastructure. It was he who built the deeply echeloned defense known as the "Surovikin Line", in which the Ukrainian counter-offensive collapsed last summer.

Until recently, Surovikin was in Africa, but according to a number of sources, in light of personnel changes in the Russian Ministry of Defense, his return to a leadership position in the army is not excluded.

General Sergey Surovikin is a former commander of the Russian Aerospace Forces and a former commander of the Russian military corps in Syria.

General "Armageddon" was the commander of the Russian forces in Ukraine from October 2022 to January 2023, after which he was demoted to deputy, and the chief of the General Staff, Gen. Valery Gerasimov.

Gen. Surovikin was removed from his posts after the unsuccessful attempt to revolt at PMC "Wagner" at the end of June 2023. Then he made a public video appeal to the Wagnerians to end their rebellion.

After that, he was not seen in public for a long time, as a photo of him and his wife appeared on social networks in early September this year.

Later in the fall of 2023, photos of him in Africa emerged, claiming that he had inspected the Russian units of the "black" continent.
