Two members of the military wing of "Hamas" have executed an Israeli hostage whom they were guarding, a spokesman for the Islamist group announced yesterday, quoted by DPA, writes bTA.
Two other hostages were seriously injured in two separate incidents, said Abu Obeida, a member of the "Al Qassam" brigades. These actions are "a reaction to Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip," he added.
The speaker blamed the incidents on what he said was Israeli slaughter of Palestinians.
"The enemy government bears full responsibility for these mass killings and the resulting reactions that affect the lives of Zionist prisoners," Obeida wrote in a statement on "Telegram", quoted by Reuters.
The Israeli military said it could neither confirm nor deny the information and that it was investigating Obeida's statement.
After the attack by "Hamas" against Israel on October 7 last year, in which more than 1,200 people were killed, the group is still holding dozens of Israelis hostage, DPA said.
