The Canadian Ministry of Defense has allowed the Ukrainian army to use tanks and armored vehicles donated by it for the operation on the territory of Russia, reported Ukrinform as referred to a message on Canadian television CBC.
„Canada does not impose territorial restrictions on the use of the military equipment it has donated to Ukraine,” said ministry spokeswoman Andre-Ann Poulin.
She added that Ukrainians know best how to defend their homeland, and “we are committed to supporting their capabilities”.
Canada has sent to Kiev eight tanks “Leopard 2A4”, several dozen armored combat vehicles and hundreds of patrol armored vehicles, as well as several M-777 howitzers, Canadian television reminded.
Earlier, the British Ministry of Defense also said that British weapons could be used by Ukrainian forces during their operation in Russia, but the imposed restrictions on the use of long-range missiles “Storm Shadow“ remain, Ukrinfom added.
