Ukraine's State Border Service said today that no signs of Belarusian troops or military equipment had been moved near their shared border, after Minsk said it was sending additional forces in the area, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Sunday that his country had deployed nearly a third of its armed forces along the border, claiming that Kiev had deployed more than 120,000 troops there.
"We do not see any movement immediately near our border - neither equipment, nor people,", the spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andrii Demchenko, said on Ukrainian television.
According to Demchenko, the situation near the border with Belarus "in general has not changed".
