Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the BRICS Summit in the Russian city of Kazan in October, reported the state news agency RIA Novosti, citing the Chinese ambassador in Moscow.
The BRICS forum is scheduled to take place from October 22 to 24, BTA reported.
China is ready to work with Russia to strengthen all-round practical cooperation, Premier Li Qiang said earlier this week at a meeting in Moscow, Chinese state media reported, Reuters reported.
China is ready to expand its partnership with Russia, Li said while presiding over a meeting between the heads of government of China and Russia, which was attended by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Xinhua news agency added.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed in May to deepen their "comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation entering a new era”.
