The Lebanese group “Hezbollah” announced that the large-scale air attack on Israeli military sites with drones and missiles was “over“ for today and has achieved its goals, the agencies reported, BTA reported.
„Our military operation today is over and done,” the Iran-backed group said in a statement. Israel's claims “about the preventive actions it took and the failure of the attack do not correspond to the truth”, added “Hezbollah”.
Earlier, the press service of the Israeli army announced that its fighters attacked targets of “Hezbollah” on the territory of Lebanon in connection with the preparation of a missile strike against Israel. Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Galant declared a state of emergency throughout the country for 48 hours. After that, over 320 drones and rockets were launched by Lebanon against Israel.
The group said its leader Hassan Nasrallah would give more details about the attack in a televised address at 3pm GMT (5pm Bulgarian time). The “Hezbollah” operation was undertaken in response to the killing of one of the movement's commanders – Fuad Shukr last month, for which Israel claimed responsibility.
