Russia would like to prevent attempts at a color revolution in Georgia by publishing available intelligence in this regard, the director of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SSR) said. Sergey Naryshkin to TASS, writes BTA.
Earlier today, the press service of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service published a message noting that the US is preparing to organize a “Maidan in Tbilisi” to prevent the party "Georgian Dream" to win the parliamentary elections on October 26. The information states that during the "Tbilisi Maidan” it is planned to release "evidence of vote falsification”, to announce the non-recognition of the election results and to demand a change of power.
"The law enforcement agencies will be provoked to quell the protests by force. At the same time, the Americans are pre-developing options for "merciless“ political and economic response to the "excessive” use of force by the authorities against "peaceful citizens"", SVR emphasizes.
