Specialists of the 350th Spectrum Warfare The US Air Force's Special Forces Electronic Warfare Wing has upgraded the Ukrainian Air Force's F-16s to better counter Russian air defenses. This is reported by Defense Express, citing the US Armed Forces.
It is interesting that American specialists worked with equipment that is not in service in the US Air Force itself. According to experts, it is about the ECIPS/CJS container, which was earlier spotted by Ukrainian fighter jets.
Its developer is the Danish Terma and the Italian Leonardo. It is not only a powerful digital radio electronic warfare station, but also a missile attack threat recording station.
The modernization was carried out in a short time, which is related to the date of transfer of fighters to Kiev. This has further complicated the task for American specialists.
Experts believe that thanks to the updated radio-electronic warfare systems, Ukrainian F-16s will not only be able to feel safer in the sky, but will also achieve better results when countering Russian air defense systems.
Since the US Air Force will receive data from Ukraine about the use of these radio-electronic warfare systems, they will be able to make further updates on the operation of the complexes.
