With storms in the Peloponnese causing damage , a weather change began in Greece last night, which is expected to cover parts of the country in the coming days, Greek media reported, quoted by BTA.
Sky TV reported that a storm with intense rain and strong winds caused a lot of damage in the area of Messinia on the Peloponnese peninsula.
Uprooted trees, damaged roofs and even wind-blown lifeguard towers were reported on beaches. The National Meteorological Service, cited by ANA-MPA, warns of a sudden change in the weather with rain, storms and thunder activity. The deterioration of the weather will develop gradually from the Ionian Sea to mainland Greece and the island of Euboea. Temperatures will drop slightly.
