Mi-8 helicopter of "Vityaz-Aero" airline company disappeared in Kamchatka, the operational services reported, quoted by ag. TASS.
"A message was received in Kamchatka that the Mi-8 helicopter of the airline company "Vityaz-Aero" has not arrived at its destination. According to preliminary data, there are three crew members on board, an insider told the agency.
In his words, another plane of the airline has taken off to search for the helicopter, another Mi-8 helicopter and a ground rescue team are ready to go along the route. “The missing helicopter followed the Vachkazhets volcano route – Nikolaevka village. The distance is 25 km”, noted a representative of the operational services.
According to data from the Federal Air Transport Agency, there were a total of 22 people on board - 3 crew members and 19 passengers.
What is known so far is that the helicopter did not make contact with ground services for some time.
