Three Lebanese paramedics were killed and two wounded, one of them seriously, in an Israeli attack while fighting fires in the southern city of Farun, the Lebanese Ministry of Health said, quoted by Reuters and BTA.

"Israeli forces targeted a Lebanese civil defense team while they were fighting fires caused by recent Israeli airstrikes," the ministry said in a statement, adding that the strike had hit a fire car.

The ministry condemned the attack, calling it a "shameless attack" against the official Lebanese state apparatus and said it was the second such attack on an emergency team in less than 12 hours.

The Israeli armed forces said they were investigating the information about the case. Earlier, they said they had carried out a number of strikes on rocket launchers and infrastructure of "Hezbollah" in several locations in southern Lebanon after the group fired rockets into northern Israel.

Tonight "Hezbollah" issued a statement saying that in response to the attack, rockets were fired at the headquarters of Israel's 91st Division, which is in charge of its northern border, "hitting offices and soldiers with precision".

The intensity of the fighting between "Hezbollah" and Israel has been ramping up steadily, forcing tens of thousands of people on both sides of the Lebanese-Israeli border to flee their homes, according to Reuters.

The conflict erupted after on October 7 "Hamas" carried out an attack on Israeli territory that killed 1,200 people and took more than 200 hostages in the Gaza Strip. Since then, the group "Hezbollah" is involved in cross-border clashes with Israel in southern Lebanon.

Tens of thousands of people demonstrated in Tel Aviv and other Israeli cities to reach an agreement to release about 100 hostages held by the Palestinian Islamist organization "Hamas" in the Gaza Strip, reported DPA, quoted by BTA.

"We must not sacrifice more lives, we must not sacrifice these people,", a relative of hostage Carmel Gat, who was found dead last week in Gaza, said at the rally in Tel Aviv.

According to Israel's Ministry of Health Carmel Gat, another woman and four men were shot at close range last week in Gaza. Then Israeli soldiers discovered their bodies in a tunnel in Gaza.

"The six would be here with us today if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had said "yes" of the deal," said Gat's relative.

According to Israel "Hamas" is still holding 101 people hostage in Gaza, although it is unclear how many of them are actually alive.

Indirect negotiations for their release, brokered by the US, Egypt and Qatar, have been stalled for months. Negotiators are seeking an agreement that would end the war in Gaza and include the withdrawal of the Israeli military from the Strip and the release of thousands of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails.

Critics accuse Netanyahu of impeding a deal by making excessive demands, such as the permanent deployment of Israeli troops at strategic points in the Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu heads a coalition that also includes far-right parties that oppose any concessions to "Hamas" and threaten to resign from the cabinet otherwise, which would lead to the collapse of the government.
