North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said the country is now pursuing a nuclear build-up policy to increase "exponentially" the number of nuclear weapons. This is reported by "Reuters", citing state media KCNA.
Kim delivered a speech marking the anniversary of North Korea's founding on Monday.
North Korea must more thoroughly prepare its "nuclear capability and its readiness to use it properly at any time to guarantee the state's security rights,", Kim said. A strong military presence is needed to counter "the various threats coming from the United States and its followers," he added.
