A Bulgarian citizen turned out to be involved in the brutal murder of a Turkish radio presenter in London. 43-year-old Mehmed Koray Alpergin and his girlfriend Gözde Dalbudak were kidnapped in October 2022 by a group of men. Seven of them, including the Bulgarian Isai Stoyanov (on the left of the photo), were convicted a few days ago for the serious crime, but the police say they are looking for at least two more, NOVA reported.
What is known is that it is a crime that is related to international crime by the so-called “gang of Turks” in Totman, where the crime was actually committed – in north London.
Of those involved in this crime, the 44-year-old Bulgarian citizen Isai Stoyanov received the lowest sentence. He received 18 months in prison. It was found that the only role he was given in this crime was to cover the tracks.
Stoyanov cleaned the room where the Turkish radio host, who is also the owner of Turkish Radio in London, was killed. The Bulgarian erased the traces, but missed a few drops of blood on one table, thanks to which the investigators managed to unravel the whole case. Stoyanov was threatened twice and this was registered with the London police, who also provided him with security.
The prosecutor in the case described him as a man who worked as a painter on the Island. He came in 2011. He lived with his girlfriend, with whom they raised three children.
Stoyanov's phone was used to organize the scheme, but he himself was not present when the others involved were in a cafe and were talking about how things would happen. They rented two cars, installed a tracking device on the radio presenter's car, with which he went with his girlfriend to an Italian restaurant. After finishing dinner, the two are kidnapped from a parking lot and stuffed into the back of a white van.
They were taken to an old premises of a former bar near Totman's stadium, where for two days the radio presenter was brutally tortured and his girlfriend was locked in a toilet and listened to his screams. There were a total of 94 injuries on his body. He was stabbed, scalded with hot water, then his body was wrapped in a carpet and dumped several kilometers away in a forest near Essex. There, a man who was walking his dog found him.
Most of those arrested claim that they did not participate in the actual violence against the person. Some of them were a tracking party, others burned the cars, which committed the crime. That is why the prosecutor's office cannot put together the puzzle of why he was killed, said the prosecutor in the case. Either the victim had information about a lot of money or about drugs. What these people have in common is that they come from poor families, are not educated enough, or have low intelligence. It is even commented that they were exploited, they did the dirty work, and the real guarantors and perpetrators are somewhere abroad and it is assumed that they are also Turkish citizens.
