A potholed road caused a “miraculous recovery” of a 56-year-old female patient in Romania, Digi 24 TV reports, quoted by BTA.
The woman was diagnosed with intestinal entanglement and needed surgery. However, the patient from the city of Zalău, Sulaj County in Northwestern Romania, requested transport by ambulance to a hospital in Brasov, where she had been treated before. The distance between the two cities is 356 km, and travel apps give an estimated travel time of 5 hours and 10 minutes.
Between the cities of Sighisoara and Brasov, many potholes appeared on the road and thanks to the vibrations, the woman recovered, Diji 24 reports. Upon arrival at the hospital in Brasov, the doctors found that the patient no longer had intestinal entanglement and the operation was cancelled.
