Ukraine President's Chief of Staff Andriy Yermak said today that imposing sanctions on Iran over the supply of ballistic missiles to Moscow is not enough and the allies must allow Kiev to strike with Western weapons inside Russia, Reuters reported, BTA reported.
"We also need permission to use Western weapons against military targets on the territory of Russia, supplies of long-range missiles and strengthening of our air defense,'' Ermak wrote in "Telegram".
The United States will impose new sanctions on Iran today after the Islamic Republic sent ballistic missiles to Russia in defiance of Western warnings, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced during a visit to London. Blinken said Russia is expected to use the missiles in its war against Ukraine in the coming weeks.
