Indian man who was to be deported from Albania to India, has caused panic at the international airport “Mother Teresa” near the Albanian capital Tirana on Tuesday evening, after trying to open one of the emergency exits of the plane ready for take-off, Euronews Albania reported today, BTA reported.
Due to the attempt to open the emergency exit, the plane was unable to take off and was detained on the runway for some time after the accident. A video released by the media showed the man, whose identity has not been released, on the floor next to the emergency exit near the cockpit.
No injuries or casualties were reported. The plane's crew reacted quickly after the incident, which would have caused much more serious consequences if it had happened to an already-taken-off plane, notes Euronews Albania.
