Around 45 Indian nationals have been dismissed from the Russian army and efforts are underway to free another 50 Indians, an Indian foreign ministry spokesman said on Thursday, as quoted by "Reuters".
We recall that in March, India's Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) announced that it had uncovered a network of agents who recruited citizens of the country into the Russian army to participate in the war in Ukraine under the pretext of gainful employment.

During Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Moscow in July, Russia promised to fire all Indians who were falsely enticed to join its army.
Since then, Russia has committed to finding the "earliest possible solution" of the problem.
