Germany to provide additional €100 million in aid to Ukraine this winter, German Foreign Minister Analena Berbock announced today during a visit to Moldova, quoted by Reuters.
Russia is once again planning a "winter war aimed at making the lives of people in Ukraine as nightmarish as possible," Berbok said before a meeting of ministers in Chisinau.
Russia has carried out a series of attacks against Ukraine's energy infrastructure, causing prolonged power outages in some parts of the country.
In June, Kiev highlighted the need for more air defense systems to ensure the ability to restore the energy infrastructure and keep it running in winter, when demand is highest due to sub-zero temperatures.
