Iran presented the latest version of its kamikaze drone during a military parade in Tehran, DPA reported, BTA reported.
The IRIB state television announced today that the drone, model “Shaheed 136-B“ it has a range of up to 4,000 km and is one of the most advanced unmanned aerial vehicles in the world.
Iran claims to have made great strides in drone production in recent years. The aircraft are believed to play an important role for Russia in its war against Ukraine, although Tehran strongly denies accusations that it is supplying Moscow with weapons for its invasion of the neighboring country.
Iran's foreign ministry says the country is working with the Kremlin on a military level, but says it is unrelated to the invasion of Ukraine.
Tehran also points out that it has always advocated a quick end to the war in Ukraine and says it supports diplomatic peace initiatives.
