Russian President Vladimir Putin has failed in what he started himself an invasion against Ukraine, US President Joe Biden said in his last speech before the UN General Assembly, AFP and Reuters reported, quoted by the UN.
"The good news is that Putin's war did not achieve its main objective. He intended to destroy Ukraine, but Ukraine is still free. He had the intention of weakening NATO, but NATO is bigger, stronger and more united than ever," said the US president, delivering his final speech to the UN General Assembly in New York.
He called on the world community to continue supporting Ukraine until the victory of Kiev, notes AFP.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was in the room during Biden's speech.
