Around 60% of the foreign parts found in Russian weapons are from China, according to Vladyslav Vlasyuk, the Ukrainian president's commissioner for sanctions policy, writes Reuters.
"If we take all conventional weapons and count foreign components, then about 60% come from China. We have had long discussions with some manufacturers about this, I would say the biggest problem is China.
Among other suppliers, he named the United States, the Netherlands, Japan and Switzerland. We are talking about important parts for surveillance systems, drones and missiles.
According to Vlasiuk, the European Union can do more to stop the flow of Western products, in particular to take action against the Russian nuclear company "Rosatom".
"We believe she is using her networks to supply the Russian military,” he said.
In addition, Vlasiuk added, sanctions could target Russia's logistics, such as airports and seaports, as well as financial institutions that facilitate sales.
