Powerful Russian forces, possibly from the "Pyatnashka” brigade, attempted to counter-attack the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near the village of Plekhovo, which was captured during the Kursk operation. In their attempt, however, they fell into their own trap, reports the American magazine Forbes, quoted by Focus.
The Russians carried out the failed attack at the end of last week. Near Plehovo, they built two main defense structures – anti-tank traps and infantry trenches.
"The Russian column got stuck in anti-tank traps – a trench and a line of concrete barriers that they built before the Ukrainian entry into the Kursk region in early August”, the publication wrote.
