If in 2017 Iran had a relatively well-diversified oil export, then in 2023 over 90% of Iranian oil goes to China., 7 percent to Syria, with the most curious being the 2 percent exported to Venezuela - the state , which is in first place in the world in terms of oil reserves.
Why did it come to this almost complete dependence of Iran on China?

Because Trump in 2018 pulled the US out of the Iran nuclear deal and US sanctions against Tehran were tightened several times. There are no EU sanctions against Iranian oil, but I guess the Europeans are running away from the political risk, and because of the American financial noose around Iran, they probably won't be able to pay if they buy oil from the Iranians.
With this being the case, it is logical to assume that China has enormous influence over Iran, including Tehran's decision to supply drones and missiles to Russia, and also the sharpness with which the Iranians will attack Israel.
I make the stipulation that the diagrams show the final destinations of Iranian oil exports, otherwise according to documents, half of Iranian oil goes to Malaysia, from where it is reshaped as Malaysian exports to China.
