"Don't wake the beast", Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel, quoted by RIA Novosti , in response to the statements of the former Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army General Raimund Andrzejczak about possible attacks on St. Petersburg.
„This retired fool should remember the many divisions of Poland and not wake the beast because Warsaw was part of the Russian Empire. Is that what he misses?" - he wrote.
As Polish media reported on Friday, Andrzejczak said Poland would “attack St. Petersburg directly” and will hit all strategic targets within a radius of 300 kilometers if Russia attacks the Baltic countries.
He also added that Warsaw had purchased 800 missiles with a range of up to 900 kilometers for use in case of war with Moscow.
