The Ukrainian army has reached its maximum in the Kursk region, it's time for a deaf defense - 1

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (Ukraine) are reaching a "plateau” of their capabilities in the Kursk region and in the future, in order to keep the captured territories under their control, they must be regrouped to organize a deaf defense. This was stated by the military observer Oleg Zhdanov on the air of the TV channel Kyiv24, commenting on the dynamic situation in the border area, where already several times settlements have passed from the control of one to the other.

"The Russians now use the same raid squads as us, so the situation in some regions, especially in the gray area, is that one squad can follow another and vice versa. Military engagements occur suddenly, upon discovery of the enemy in those places where he is discovered. At the moment, as I understand it, we have most likely reached or are reaching a "plateau” of our opportunities in the Kursk region. Therefore, we must talk about forming a front line in certain areas, creating a system of strongholds in order to continue to hold this territory,”, commented Zhdanov.

He added that perhaps the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will also assess the configuration of the bridgehead in the Kursk region to avoid weak points or any areas attractive to the Russians for flanking attacks and flatten the front line to organize the defense .

"If our General Staff makes a correct assessment of the enemy's forces and our forces, regroups the troops in such a way that we stand on the defensive, perhaps even cede territory somewhere..., then we will be able to hold these territories for several months, if we have the strength and means“, the expert assumed.

According to him, if this is not done in a timely manner, it may even lead to a "chaotic retreat” of VSU from the territories of the Kursk Region.

Commenting on the situation around Suja, where the Russians are allegedly advancing and trying to break through to the city, Zhdanov expressed his belief that they will not launch a direct assault.

"Most likely, they will use the tactics of wedging our troops in the interpositional space or the same tactics they use on the territory of Ukraine – enveloping and surrounding the settlements themselves“, he noted.

According to him, the rainy autumn weather will create problems for the Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region. In particular, due to the fact that the VSU has more wheeled vehicles, which under such conditions begin to get stuck.

"And the use of asphalted roads is also a problem because they are under fire control of the Russian Federation. The enemy uses drones, artillery... If there are difficulties, this will encourage us to leave these territories in advance to save troops, not to carry out political tasks,“, the analyst noted.

He warned that the command of the Russian army may also transfer reserves due to a reduction in combat activity in separate operational directions.
