Australia has warned its citizens against traveling to Israel and urged Australians there to leave the country while passenger flights are still available. The warnings were issued because of the conflict between Israel and the Lebanese Shiite movement “Hezbollah”, Reuters reported.
„The Australian government is seriously concerned that the security situation in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories could deteriorate rapidly,” Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong wrote on the “X“ social network.
Australian government travel advisories state that the threat of military and terrorist attacks against Israel and Israeli interests in the region remains high. Some airlines reduced frequencies or canceled flights to Israel after the escalation of the conflict led to the closure of airspace, the recommendations said.
