Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis signed a security agreement today with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of a meeting of the European Council in Brussels, Reuters reported, citing a statement of Mitsotakis' press office.
"Greece is ready to continue meeting Ukraine's most pressing defense needs. It will also provide additional resources to accelerate the F-16 training of our pilots and technicians,'' wrote on the network "X" President Zelensky.
The agreement is intended to complement other deals signed between Ukraine and its allies as the country continues its defense against Russian invasion, and paves the way for Greece's active participation in Ukraine's reconstruction efforts, the statement said.
