Russia and Ukraine carried out an exchange of prisoners of war, in which 95 captured servicemen were returned to each country, reported the world agencies quoted by dariknews.bg, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“On October 18, as a result of the negotiation process, 95 Russian servicemen were returned from the territory controlled by the Kyiv regime. In return, 95 prisoners of war were handed over from the Ukrainian Armed Forces”, the announcement says.
The Russian Ministry of Defense specified that “currently, all Russian servicemen are on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, where they are provided with the necessary psychological and medical assistance, as well as an opportunity to contact their relatives”.
