Heavy rains have again caused severe damage in northern Italy, with several regions, including Tuscany, were affected by floods, reported DPA, quoted by BTA.

Roads and houses are under water after several days of rain, and rivers and canals have burst their banks.

Emergency services had to rescue more than a dozen drivers who got stuck on the roofs of their cars overnight near Pisa.

Authorities in Piedmont, Liguria and Emilia-Romania warned residents to be extra careful over the weekend.

In most of Turin, authorities advised people to stay at home and avoid traveling by car and hiking.
